Champion Readers Levels 1 to 6

The Champion Readers Programme is a one-year journey that takes your child from building essential decoding skills to becoming a confident, independent reader.

Champion Readers 1 to 3: Through a structured and sequential reading process, your child will develop the skills to decode words independently while expanding their vocabulary and strengthening oral comprehension.
Champion Readers 4 to 6: With a strong foundation in place, your child will progress to independent reading, while extending their language skills through written comprehension, grammar practice, and engaging activities.

Lesson Objective:

Read, Review & Recap 3 stories based on a diacritic mark association
Spelling review & test
Oral comprehension and story concept review evolving into Written Comprehension from sound-based stories
Grammar exercises for improved written English ability
Oral Communication activity for self-expression and sharing

Lesson Outcome:

Read more fluently and confidently, with smoother flow and better accuracy.
Understand and apply spelling rules, allowing them to spell common and new words correctly.
Answer comprehension questions more effectively, using clearer and more complete sentence structures.
Recognise and apply grammar concepts, building a stronger foundation for both writing and speaking.

Reading Foundations (Levels 1 - 3)
